Healthy Trailer LLC Continues Its Commitment To Enhancing Food Transport Trailer Sanitation With Its Third Research Project

Salinas, CA April 29, 2024 – Healthy Trailer LLC, a leader in providing trailer sanitation protocols aligned with FSMA transportation regulations, is proud to announce its third research project to study environmental risks in food transport trailers.

Specifically, the project will involve surface testing to identify pathogen presence on surfaces, migration, certain cargo risks, and current trailer cleaning practices. Like prior projects, the data collected will be valuable in continuing to build a scientific case for improving current trailer sanitation practices.

By combining germicidal UV technology, professional automation design, and food safety expertise from industry members, Healthy Trailer LLC will provide the food industry and its transportation suppliers with an improved best trailer sanitation practice that reduces pathogen contamination risks.

As compliance with FSMA 204 requirements draws closer, companies working to establish traceability for their fresh products as they move from the field to the processing and cooling facilities and finally to distribution/receiving docks have been concerned that the transportation segments of the food supply chain expose food to pathogen and allergen risks.

As a pioneer in FSMA trailer sanitation, Healthy Trailer LLC is uniquely positioned to address the industry's concerns. This research project is a testament to our commitment to lead the way in trailer sanitation, and we will continue to be a trusted resource for companies looking to bolster their food safety plans.

Using the information learned from this project, Healthy Trailer LLC will combine germicidal UV technology, professional automation design, and food safety expertise from industry members to provide the food industry and its transportation suppliers with a preventative step in identifying and mitigating food safety risks due to unsanitary conditions in food transport trailers.
